A Little Bit of Kadence
Amya worships her big cousin, Kadence. Everyday when she sits in her highchair to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, this picture faces her from across the table. After every few bites, she waves at Kadence and giggles.

Catherine's Creek
This is in Washington, looking southeast towards Oregon. You can see the base of Mt. Hood on the left.
We went on a hike this weekend in Washington....taking a break at Catherine's Creek...Amya has no respect for her mother...
Amya loved getting out and walking...downhill only. When she tried walking uphill, she just fell over backwards.
If you look closely you can see Dan and Amya on the top right. It was very hard to climb back up that gravel hill, but worth it for this picture!

Puffyface
Ok. Carol has "morning puffy face" syndrome. Dan doesn't. He can wake up and look like he's been awake for hours. Carol has trouble seeing out of her eyes because the lids are so swollen! Amya, unfortunately, takes after Carol. Anybody else out there have "morning puffy face"?...and want to post a picture?

Hat Mishap

Wet Dog
Meet "wet dog" the newest addition to the Shaw family. It is no mystery how he got his name...we're still working to correct that problem.

Here's Burt and Chris Ann saying good bye before their quest for the summit of Mt Hood. It took 4 days and they were holed up in an ice cave for a bad storm, but they made it!

We hired a maid last week to help out with the housework. She told us she had lots of experience, but, we think she might have been just saying that to get the job....we probably should have checked her references.....
