A Drive To See The Sights

It snowed last night! I know it may seem a little odd to get excited about snow in late February, but it has been raining for days. We don't get a lot of snow here, so we're actually not sick of it yet. But we are sick of the rain. So, this was a nice change!
It's Dan's birthday today, so he took the day off. We piled into the car this morning to go for a drive and see what the snow looked like from a higher elevation...

We weren't disappointed! You can see along the hillside where the snow line is. Those poor people along the river didn't get any snow!

Time to warm up and see if we got any good shots! Amya wasn't as impressed as the rest of us!

The Perfect Storm

One of my favorite things to look at is snow, lying gently on branches and needles, with a blue sky shouting in the background. I just can't get enough of this sight! If you look closely you can see that was still snowing when I shot this picture.

In between the foreground and the background, the Columbia River is hiding

Happy Birthday Old Man!

Tea For One

Amya got a tea set recently and she is in love with it! She loves pouring the water (there is a lot of room for improvement there) and dishing out the snack. We actually had to put it away for a while and pull it out for special occasions because that table was not meant to be continuously soaked! She is fun :)

I Got Wife-Napped!!!!

...for Valentive's Day...
We spent the three day weekend...

...At The Oregon Coast!

Amya loves rocks, so this was her favorite part of the entire weekend!
Amya's Valentine treat...a truffle!...or as Amya would say, "Hot Chocolate!"My love

a collective, "Awwww!"

I snapped this picture just as a huge wave crashed into a rock and soaked some people down the boardwalk. Amya wasn't quit sure what she thought of it until the people started laughing. She made her peace.

This is Cannon Beach, a pretty recognizable location along the Pacific coastline.

We Also Visited An Aquarium!

Amya loved this part! She kept saying, "Fishies bite" then make a chomping sound. Who knows!

looks can be deceiving...she didn't actually get her finger past the water line.

The shark tank!

She had just as much fun at the playground outside of the aquarium!

...becoming part of the exhibit!

Goodbye Grandma Chris And Grandpa Burt!

We had so much fun with my parents this week! Amya misses them already. She has been pretending to talk to them on the phone all morning...and they just left a couple hours ago!

...a game of Jenga, then domino's!
