A Weekend At The Coast

 We went camping at the coast this weekend with a bunch of friends...and then ended up at the same campground as 12 other families from The Gorge (most of whom we knew).  Fun stuff!!!

 We caught some amazing weather...and actually enjoyed the beach in short sleeves!

 ...some of us more than others!

 Nelson fell down and for some reason just layed there, face down in the water (while Amya screamed blood murder), instead of standing back up....we'll have to work on that one.

 Let's look at that closer...yup!...there's the wet cat look!

 It was just beautiful!

 Camp Hair rocks!

Hopefully I'll get more pictures on here...it really was a fun and beautiful weekend!

We All Seem To Be Better Around Here!

...but it was a rough week!  You can't be this silly if you aren't feeling 100%!

A Very Special Trip To A Jewelry Shop!

While we were in Connecticut, we were invited to see Dan's Uncle's Jewelry shop!

 It was an amazing space!...it took me a few minutes to pull my camera away from my face!

The kids got a FULL tutorial!

Uncle Matt even measured their fingers and made them wax rings from his molds!

 When Amya closed her eyes really tight, this is what she saw! :)

 THEN Matt went to work on our wedding bands...enlarging them just a bit (ahem...) after 10 years of marriage.

 It was fascinating to watch him work!  That is my ring that was passed down to me from my Great Aunt Beatty.

 (I just couldn't get enough photos of all the equipment in the room!  Beautiful!)

 When I remember this afternoon in Connecticut, this is what comes to mind....my children in awe...

 ...but when I looked through the photos, I saw a lot of this...

Memory is a funny thing!

The Boys Went Camping...

...and since this was my first night away from my baby boy, Dan had to send me a video to let me know that he was safe and sound :)

They had fun, just the boys! ...while Amya and I snuck away to breakfast, just the girls...hmmmm, we may have to do this more often!

A Week In Connecticut

We just got back from a wonderful week in Connecticut!

...charming Connecticut...

 

We soaked up some cousin fun...

 ...got in a lot of playtime...

...spent time with some special people...

 ...helped Grandpa with his gardening

 ...we even had an Easter egg hunt!...

...celebrated a birthday....

 ...and visited a farm!

 

Even though it is spring,

 it felt more like summer...

...the weather was amazing!

 We went to an aquarium...

 ...and visited a very special jewelery shop!

 But the best part was spending time with family!
