That Kid

What would a journal entry be, without some random pictures of Amya!
...looking very much like a lawn ornament...pointy hat and all...
...trying to stay awak long enough to finish a meal...
...picking wildflowers...

Future cover of a rock album

...All Things John and Danielle...

Rock Wall!

John got a little daring while on a hike!
I said A LITTLE daring!

Company

They've arrived! John and Danielle are visiting us from Michigan. I'm better at posting pictures than writing stuff, so if you want to know what we've been up to, just click on their blog link, above and to the right!

For some reason after I finished putting Amya's shoes on her, she decided to stay in the chair for a little while... Amya doesn't usually stay anywhere for a little while, let alone somewhere she gets to jump to get down from. I think she thought she was cool.

This is a glimps into what our trip out here looked like...

This is a short clip from our trip out here. I think the fact that Lewis preferred Amya's lap made for a MUCH happier trip!

Happy Birthday Cyd!

We love you and miss you!

Pictures That Grammy Emailed Us

Here are some pictures that Grammy and Pappy e-mailed us from their visit a couple weeks ago!

Talent

I am jealous of Dan. Not only is he good with numbers, but the guy can paint!

Spring has Sprung!

Lewis seems to be adjusting to the new place pretty good!

Chopper Time

Amya enjoyed helping Dan put the helicopter together. Her favorite part was playing the game, "Hide Daddy's tools, then watch Mom and Dad look all over for them." In case the suspense is killing you, she hid them in her bag in the back of the stroller...guess how long it took us to figure that out!

Over the weekend...

"Silhouettes and Mountains"
...trying to see the sign with the wildflowers on it...

There is always time for a kiss!

Tuckered out!

This is Amya's third time to Catherine's Creek. In the past she would take a few steps and fall down, or get distracted with wanting to smell every wildflower. This time we actually had to chase and catch her!

Although we'd love it if Amya became a "peace lovin' hippie", this is actually how she points.

She is figuring out that when the camera comes out...the fake smile must as well!

This is Amya's new expression...she acts surprised and then laughs

Posers

Fun Times

Amya's first watercolor, hanging up on the fridge!
Bubble Time! Amya didn't quit know what to think of bubbles...this was the first time she's seen them...
...she thought they might taste good.
She loves playing with playdough, although she thinks that tastes good, too.

Monster Baby

Amya likes her new "Glad Monster, Sad Monster" book from Auntie T! There are many different monster masks with different emotions...Amya's favorite are the glad monster (yellow)and angry monster (red).

Start Saving Young!

It is always a good idea to start saving when you're young!

Bringing In March!

Playing with "waddle" from Heather and Chuck. Doesn't she look like she should be on The Little House on the Prairie? Dan has been looking for a good walking stick since we got here...this one was lying on the beach!

"I'm free!...can't catch me!"
Amya, being very naughty in a local coffee shop...she threw a BIG fit when I asked her to pick up the newspaper she shoved off the table!
...March brings long shadows... ...taking a break before "hiking" back up the hill, home....
...crawling home along the city stairs after a long walk in town...

A Day Hike Up Multnomah Falls

Cross-eyed in a cave!
Oooooooo......Ahhhhhhhhh!
One mile up...one mile down!
Some of us did more work than others....
...the moss covers everything...
