Dan packaged up the copter...he found a buyer...Skypixhelicam days are over...it was great while it lasted!

We're Back From Portland!!

We spent the week in Portland while Dan was taking a class for work. Amya and I hung out at the hotel, mall and zoo while Dan was working. Since this trip Amya...now has a chipped front tooth (not that noticeable...fell from a standing position onto the coffee table), learned how to push all the buttons in the elevator (business men don't think this is as funny as I do), figured out that the pool is not the best place to take a poo (again, others didn't find it that amusing) and found just the right decibel and volume in a restaurant to make Dan and I ask for our dinners in "to-go" boxes! All in all it was a fun time. For our last night out, we managed to find a restaurant without a single other diner! It was great! (Amya chose that night to be on her best behavior!)

First Time To The Zoo!

While in Portland, Amya and I killed a day at the zoo. It was Amya's first zoo experience. I thought she would like it because she loves animals (especially dogs, monkeys and elephants)....and she did! The picture above is when she saw the monkeys for the first time (that is one sleeping). I knew it when she liked a certain animal because she would blow it kisses! :)

We also went on a train ride through the zoo and the park around it...Amya stayed awake for only 5 min. of it, but I liked it!

Poor Dan had to do stupid stuff while we played. We wished he could have been with us!

Memorial Day Weekend

We hung out at home and went for a drive in Washington...saw some sights we'd never seen before...beautiful!

This was Primary Week in Oregon. Both President Clinton and Barak Obama came to Hood River last weekend. Amya and Dan saw Bill at the library down the street!

Neat, Neat Houses

So, I read an article about this architect who builds small unique homes in "pocket communities". I was surprised to learn that one such community is being built in White Salmon, just across the river from us. I really like the design of his houses and am wondering if Kevin will build one for me. If the answer is yes, there is a link on the right...house plans and everything. I'd really like the "Coho" in orange. I'll pay for your gas out here, Kevin!

Amya's (kind of) Shinner

Amya was hopping around and fell onto the side of the entertainment center. She only cried for a moment, so I didn't think she really got hurt (Amya can shriek like nobody's business for many reasons other than physical pain). Then I saw her eye! Poor kid!
