Amya's Famous Auntie T!
At the very beginning of Sesame Street, the Brooklyn Bridge appears. So, of course I told Amya that her Auntie T. must live by Sesame Street, because she lives by the Brooklyn Bridge. Amya's eyes lit up!
Well, now I hear that they are filming a new Muppets movie...right around the corner from where her Auntie T. actually lives!

WAAAM
No, not that Waaam. We went to the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum this weekend for their "Fly In." Dan even went up in a by-plane and toured the gorge from a bird's point of view! The pilot tried to convince me that Amya would love to go up with her Daddy, but that was a firm "NO!" from me! They had beautiful cars, planes and bikes there.

Dinner Out!
We enjoyed our Sunday evening out to dinner. There was a Spanish band playing quiet bistro music (if I knew more about music, I would actually use the correct name for the genre that describes) playing in the corner of the room, to which Amya eventually couldn't resist dancing to, even though it wasn't really that kind of restaurant.
Berry Picking

You cannot harvest all the wild blackberries growing in Hood River...there are just too many! It is hard for me to walk by them and not stop for a half an hour to pick them...they are FREE! Hello! But you cannot pick berries every time you leave your house. You would get nothing done (but you would have blackberries in your freezer 'till May!). So, we brought our company out the the Indian Creek Trail to help us! Then we turned it into blackberry jam....yum!
