The Hunt!

On Sunday, we went to Cathrine's Creek for a little hike, only to find that the Easter Bunny had been there before us!!

Amya had a blast looking for eggs (and if truth be told, so did her parents!)!

Amya: "Mom! I want to get big like you and Daddy! I want to get my own boobs so I can feed Nelson with my milk!"

Carol: "Nice. I'll be sure to tell your brother that in 15 years so he can throw up in his mouth."

Fat Boy!

I've taken to calling Nelson, "Fat Boy" lately because, well, just look at him! Amya has picked up on it and I've over heard heard her saying, "Hey little fat brother!"

A Rainy Day On The Columbia

Dan took his kayak and fishing pole out for a paddle on the Columbia this afternoon....a great way to spend a soggy Sunday!

A New Phase...

Amya is dressing herself these days (many times a day!). Usually she prefers "pajamies", sometimes with a skirt or dress over it. On this day, she picked out black pants and shirt, a grey skirt, black boots (on the wrong feet, of course), her striped fleece, princess mitten clips, purple mittens, sunglasses and hat! Needless to say, she got lots of comments walking down the street in Hood River!

A New Cousin For Amya and Nelson!

They welcomed a new baby today, one week early, at 7 lbs 12 oz.

February is turning out to be a very busy birthday month! We also got to spend my Dad's birthday with him, a few days before Nelson was born. We already miss you, Grandpa Burt!

...and because Nelson was born on his biggest cousin's 14th birthday, we totally neglected Taylor this year! Sorry sweetie! We love you and hope you can come visit this summer!

Two days before Dan's birthday, his wonderful Grandma turned 90 years young!!! Happy Birthday, Great Grandma Shaw! You are truely one of the happiest, most positive people on this planet!
